EN numbers are the European Norm standard that something has to meet for a particular job. Sanitisers generally have EN 14476, EN 1650 and En 1276 as a minimum.

However, when it comes to cleaning and sanitising, there are General and also more Specific EN classifications to look for, when considering what product to purchase.

Better quality products are tested to a number of different EN standards, so always check to see which EN numbers are listed against a product.

For domestic, industrial or commercial sanitising, both General and Medical EN certification will be preferred.
